![]() I’m curious to see if the high winner wants to ride it or treat it as a display piece…įind this Redshift for sale in San Marcos, California with bidding up to $11,400 here on eBay. The sale includes the fast charger, new owner’s packet, and the Certificate of Origin from Alta – the seller says that this “was purchased directly from Alta when they ceased operations.” Everything is said to work and that’s all there pretty much there is to say about a brand new bike. This example (VIN: 56PARAEM5JB000291) has 4.3 miles on it and it’s never been titled. That’s what makes this auction interesting to me. Unfortunately, Alta stopped operations in October of 2018 and it looks like it’ll be staying that way indefinitely. The MXR was a 2018 update of the MX, and it was just what consumers wanted: more power (50 hp, 147 lb-ft at the countershaft), better components (WP suspension with more adjustability), a 8 pound diet, and a lower price. So, what does the market think a still-new example is worth for two years later, considering the company is no longer in business? Well, there’s four days left on this auction (which includes the fast charger) and bidding’s up to $11,400. When new in 2018, a Alta Redshift MXR would set you back $11,995 (add $750 for the fast charger). I designed this for the owners of an ALTA Redshift MXR electric dirt bike. The 2018 MXR Performance Maps allow the Redshift to be just as capable as a novice trail and woods bike as it is a professional MX2/Lites class motocrosser. ![]() Post Sale Update: sold for $13,100 after 35 bids on eBay in San Marcos, California.
